2025 MILES OF SMILES

The sixth annual MILES OF SMILES FOR MICALA will be held virtually from OCTOBER 17 TO OCTOBER 27. Please come join us as we run, bike, jog, and/or walk and log your miles on the event website in honor of MICALA SILER. We will participate in this virtual run "together" from wherever you are in the world.

THE GIFT OF WARMTH

Micala Siler was the first Executive Director of A Family for Every Orphan (AFFEO), a nonprofit with a global reach and a singular vision: that every child should grow up in the love and security of a family. Her dream of creating a world without orphans was fueled by the heartbreaking reality that too many children are forced to navigate life in institutions or fend for themselves. Micala was quick to point out a staggering statistic: if all of the worlds orphaned children were placed together in one location, they would make up the fourth most populous country in the world.

From her earliest years, Micala had a remarkable heart for others. First caring for her six younger siblings, later for her friends, community and own children, and eventually for vulnerable children across the globe, she lived out her calling to share what God had given her in abundance the love of family.

Today, AFFEO continues Micalas vision in some of the most impoverished and war-torn regions of the world. This year, through _Miles of Smiles for Micala_, all gifts raised will go toward a very tangible need: PROVIDING WARMTH FOR CHILDREN AT RISK OF SEPARATION. In Ukraine, destroyed forests and mined land have left families without safe access to firewood. Without warmth, parents cannot keep their children from freezing in homes already scarred by war. In India, children often huddle under thin sheets while temperatures drop below freezing, making a single blanket a lifesaving gift.

THERE IS NO FEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT. WE ONLY ASK THAT YOU PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER MAKING A GIFT TO THIS CAMPAIGN A MEANINGFUL WAY TO HONOR MICALAS LEGACY AND HELP PROTECT CHILDREN WITH THE WARMTH AND SECURITY OF FAMILY.

COMMEMORATIVE SHIRTS AND HOODIES

This year's t-shirt/hoodie design was created by Micalas two oldest daughters, Noelle and Keira.

937 Ink has generously offered to donate 20% of the proceeds from our shirt sales this year to A Family for Every Orphan. T-shirts will be shipped directly to you at your home address or if you live in Springboro, OH you may make arrangements to pick them up.

You will need to place the orders by September 22nd. After this date the online store will close so that they will have time to do the printing and allow time for delivery by the start of the event on October 17.
