Join us for the 3rd Annual "Stop the Violence" 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the vibrant city of Birmingham, Jefferson. This exciting event aims to raise awareness about gun violence in the Greater Birmingham area while advocating for safer neighborhoods. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a meaningful cause as they run or walk a scenic 5K route.
Not only will you be taking steps towards a safer community, but you'll also be supporting local youth charities, including the A.G. Gaston Boys and Girls Clubs and the Children's Village. On-site registration will be open from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Railroad Park, so don't miss out! Be sure to register early, as T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for those signing up after April 29, 2025. Join us in making a difference and enjoy a day filled with positivity and purpose!

Organiser's Description
1. The American Legion, 21st District is hosting its 3rd Annual "Stop the Violence" 5K Run & Walk event for three main purposes; First, to bring greater awareness of gun violence in the Greater Birmingham and surrounding areas, Secondly, to strengthen and advocate for safer neighborhoods and communities and finally, to raise money in support of local youth charities such as A.G. Gaston Boys and Girls Clubs, Children's Village, American Legion Youth Leadership Camp, and Big Brother and Sister just to name a few. Note: Please be advised that on-line registrations after 29 April 2025, an event T-Shirt can't be guaranteed!
