Arrive early for check-in at 8:30 AM and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere filled with community spirit! The race will take place on the scenic MKT Trail with a looping course that starts and ends at the MKT Plaza. After crossing the finish line, participants can indulge in delicious food and festivities, making it a perfect day out for students, alumni, families, and the public. Don’t forget to register online by September 21st to secure your commemorative t-shirt, and if you can’t make it in person, consider supporting a great cause through donations. Join us for a day of camaraderie, remembrance, and health!

The 27th Annual Run for Life 5K will take place on October 4th at 9:00 AM! All participants are asked to arrive by 8:30 AM for check-in and race instructions! After the race, stick around for food and fun!

ABOUT THE EVENT:

The main purposes of this annual event are:

To Honor the Lives of Two Beloved Mizzou DPT Students:

Christopher Griffith, a compassionate home health therapist, passed away shortly after graduation.
Stacey Bragg, a member of the Class of 1997, tragically passed away while enrolled in the program.
Both are remembered for their kindness, warmth, and dedication to the physical therapy profession.

To Raise Funds for SPTO (Student Physical Therapy Organization):

PROCEEDS FROM THE RACE SUPPORT:

Student participation in local and national PT conferences.
Service-oriented activities within the community.
Administrative needs of SPTO.

Open to students, alumni, families, and the public! Walkers and runners welcome!

T-SHIRTS:

Shirt pickup will be available on October 3rd from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Clark Hall (701 S. Providence Rd), or on race day, October 4th, from 8:00 to 8:45 AM.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to register online by Sunday, September 21st to guarantee a t-shirt for race week. After this date, you can still register at a discounted rate, but t-shirts will no longer be included.

DONATIONS:

COURSE:

Check-in will be located at Clark Hall next to the playground at 701 S. Providence Rd. The event will take place on the MKT Trail, starting and ending at the MKT Plaza located at 501 S. Providence Rd. The course will follow a loop, turning around at the MU Rec/Hinkson Creek trailhead. A hydration station will be available along the route and at the start/finish area.
