Join us for the 2nd Annual Center Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 12th, 2024, in the beautiful Bridgehampton, Suffolk! This inspiring event kicks off with registration at 8 AM, followed by a light breakfast, and the walk starts at 9:30 AM. The route will take participants south on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike to Montauk Highway, culminating at the Bridgehampton Volunteer Fire Department before returning for a heartfelt lunch at The Center.
This year, you can choose to participate in person or complete a virtual 5K distance (3.1 miles) at your own pace. Whether you walk on a treadmill, track, or your favorite trail, every stride contributes to a great cause. Gather your family, friends, and colleagues to honor cancer survivors and cherished loved ones. Together, we’ll share stories of hope and strength while raising funds to support outreach and educational workshops for families and communities. The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center (The Center) is a historically Black, community-rooted organization dedicated to serving marginalized East End children and families. The Center welcomes everyone. We share our solidarity with those who have triumphed over cancer or continue to battle it.
Our path leads us southward on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, to Montauk Highway, to the Bridgehampton Volunteer Fire Department. Returning to The Center for lunch. There will be stories of hope and survival from community members offering their support and inspiration.
