Join us for the exciting and meaningful 2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run hosted by the Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association on Saturday, November 9th, 2024 in Rowley, Essex. This event aims to raise funds for the Rowley Veterans Committee, supporting the 297 veterans living in the town. Festivities kick off at 9:00 a.m. with the 5K Run/Walk at 10:00 a.m. and the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run at 11:00 a.m. Enjoy food trucks, a photo booth, and more after the races. WELCOME TO THE: _2ND ANNUAL VETERANS DAY 5K RUN/WALK & KIDS 1 MILE FUN RUN._
_HOSTED BY: ROWLEY VOLUNTEER FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION_
The Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association (RVFPA) is hosting its "2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run". This event helps to raise funds for our Rowley Veterans Committee (RVC). Veterans account for 6% of the Rowley population. We have 277 Male Veterans and 20 Female Veterans for a total of 297 Veterans living here in the Town of Rowley. Veterans are facing multiple challenges throughout their careers. Their enhanced training and advanced technologies have given them the ability to provide extreme medical care in the field which has allowed many active military members to be brought home. Due to some extensive injuries and long term health effects they will need more services in the future to enable their quality of life. Together, the RVFPA and RVC, hope to raise enough funds to be able to assist our 297 Veterans here in the Town of Rowley.
Festivities will begin around 09:00a.m. and conclude around 1:00p.m. The 5K Run/Walk starts at 10:00a.m. followed immediately by the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run at 11:00a.m. Following the race, we will have foods trucks for purchasing foods and beverages. Photo Booth Set-Up to create some race day memories! Come on down and enjoy the day, whether you are going to participate in one of the races or cheer on other community members, it will be an amazing time!

The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will _REMAIN_ on the Town Common. For the _SAFETY_ of the children, they will start the race on Summer St and run through the timing arch, then they will get to the end of the common, turn right and run three laps around the common (1 mile loop) and then finish that last lap by running back through the timing Arch.
