Organiser's Description
Every year since the 1980s, the AdventHealth Silver Classic 5k Run 3K Walk draws crowds from across central Texas. Seventh-day Adventist pastor Ernest Dobkins organized the run/walk. The name Silver Classic comes from the fact that runners who would place first received ounces of silver as a reward.
Today Silver Classic serves as the primary fundraiser for AdventHealths Wellness Department. Proceeds from the race promote wellness in the community through free services and educational classes. Participants of the Silver Classic race are chip-timed and placed in gender groups based on age.

Trophy for the first age-group finisher in each age group; medals for 2nd and 3rd. No duplicate awards. Age groups: 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 , 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ This is a chip-timed event. ____________________________________________________________ Packet pick-up will be in the front lobby of the hospital on: Wednesday March 12th, from 5 to 7 pm Sunday, March 16th, from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday, March 20th, from 5 to 7 pm For patient safety, do not park in front of the hospital.
