Get ready for a vibrant celebration of culture and community at the 4th Annual Día de Los Muertos 5K Cemetery Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Hondo, Medina! This exciting event invites participants to support the Bluebonnet Children's Advocacy Center while enjoying a unique running experience. Starting at the southwest corner of the Medina County Courthouse, runners will embark on a scenic route filled with festive Sugar Skull markers, culminating back at the starting point.
Participants will be treated to refreshing water and snacks after completing the 5K, all while enjoying live mariachi music and the beautiful altars displayed in front of the Courthouse. For those with family and friends in attendance, the Alma Gitana Folklorica dancers will provide captivating entertainment. The evening will be capped off with a performance from Conjunto Cats from 7 to 9:30 PM, ensuring a lively atmosphere for all. Virtual participants are also welcome to join the fun by running a 5K in their own location and submitting their results. Don’t miss this chance to celebrate life, culture, and community spirit!

Support Bluebonnet Children's Advocacy Center..
In-person participants will begin at southwest corner of Medina County Courthouse - 1100 !6th St. Runners will head north on Avenue M, make the appropriate turns at the Sugar Skull markers, and finish back at the start point.
After completing the route, participants will receive water and snacks. Participants can listen to mariachis and then observe altars in front of the Courthouse. While the runners/walkers are participating in the walk/run, the Alma Gitana Folklorica dancers will entertain the participants' family members and friends who are waiting. From 7 to 9:30 pm, Conjunto Cats will perform for everyone to enjoy.
Virtual participants may run a 5K in their choice of location and use app of their choice to record their route and time. They may email their results to: [email protected].
