Join us for the 4th Annual MONK STRONG Run on Saturday, April 3rd, 2027, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Justin Monk, a former Marine and devoted nurse. This year's theme, "Red, White, and Blue," invites participants to don their best patriotic attire as we come together to honor American pride and community spirit.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to have some fun, there are race distances for everyone! Choose from a 1 Mile Fun Run, a 5K, or challenge yourself with a 10K. The event will kick off early with packet pick-up from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM, followed by the 10K starting at 7:30 AM and the 5K at 7:45 AM. The Fun Run will commence shortly after the last 5K runner takes off. Participants will enjoy a supportive atmosphere with awards for top finishers in various age categories and finisher medals for all.

This years theme is Red, White and Blue! Come out dressed to impress and lets go all out to show our American pride!
We will have a 1 Mile fun run, 5K and 10K
Monk Strong Memorial was formed in honor of Justin Monk. Justin, a former Marine with the United States Marine Corps was diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer in 2019. He later succumbed to this cancer in 2023. Justin wanted nothing more than to help others, he dedicated his life to serving those in need. After serving in the Marine Corps, Justin came home and earned a bachelors degree in nursing and worked as an RN at the Hamilton hospital for 7 years. Justin was also a member of a small Church of Christ in Stephenville, TX. Justin left behind a legacy that cant be matched, he was kind, loyal, honest, and proud. He always stood up for what he believed in, and what is right. His motto was God, family, and hard work!
We are honoring his memory by hosting a yearly run. The money raised is to help serve those who serve others! He left behind a S.P.E.C.I.A.L legacy that his family and friends plan to carry on.
