Join us for the 4th Annual Turkey Day 5k on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in the charming town of Kasson, Dodge County, Minnesota! This family-friendly run/walk is the perfect way to kick off your Thanksgiving morning, allowing you to burn some calories before indulging in a delicious feast. Participants can choose between a 5k or a 2.5k route, making it accessible for everyone.
As you enjoy the beautiful fall scenery, participants aged 21 and over can sip on Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers post-race to help get into the festive spirit! The Dodge County Salvation Army will provide water and coffee, along with tasty snacks to refuel after the race. This year, we're excited to host a Costume Contest with fun prizes, so donβt forget to don your best Thanksgiving-themed attire! Plus, participants who register by November 11, 2024, at noon will receive a special race t-shirt. All proceeds from the event will benefit the local Food Shelf and the Dodge County Salvation Army, exemplifying the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors. Lace up your running shoes, gather your friends and family, and come support your community at this heartwarming event!

Organiser's Description
Family friendly run/walk on Thanksgiving morning hosted by The Main Alternative in Kasson, MN. Burn some calories before you go eat a big meal. Bloody Mary's and Screwdrivers available for participants 21+ after the run/walk to help get you ready for family time! Water and coffee will also be provided by the Dodge County Salvation Army. Post race snacks will also be available to participants.
The 5k and 2.5k can be signed up using the same 5k link. You pick your route!
All race registration proceeds, and any extra donations will be split and donated directly to the Food Shelf in Kasson to help feed individuals and families in Dodge County and to the Dodge County Salvation Army! Neighbors helping neighbors! Come out and support your community and meet some new friends along the way!
Costumes are DEFINITELY ENCOURAGED! After the race while we're enjoying beverages, we will have a Costume Contest (the winner gets a special prize) as well as some drawings for fun prizes!
New this year, Race t-shirts will be given to participants who register by November 11, 2024, at NOON! Shirt sizes range from Youth Medium to Adult XXXL. If you are not registered by November 11, 2024, at NOON you will NOT be guaranteed a t-shirt. Be sure to sign up ASAP!
