Join us for the 4th Annual Turkey Day 5k and 2.5k on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Kasson, Dodge County, Minnesota! This family-friendly run/walk is the perfect way to kick off your Thanksgiving morning, allowing you to burn some calories before indulging in a hearty feast. Participants can choose between a 5k or 2.5k distance, making it accessible for runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels.
After the race, participants aged 21 and over can enjoy a refreshing Bloody Mary or Screwdriver to gear up for family festivities. The Dodge County Salvation Army will be on hand providing water, coffee, and hot chocolate, along with delicious post-race snacks. Plus, costume enthusiasts are encouraged to dress up for a chance to win a special prize in our Costume Contest! With all proceeds and donations benefiting the local Food Shelf and the Dodge County Salvation Army, this event is a wonderful way to give back to the community. Don’t forget to register by November 10, 2025, at noon to guarantee your race t-shirt. We can’t wait to see you there for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit!

Organiser's Description
Family friendly run/walk on Thanksgiving morning hosted by The Main Alternative in Kasson, MN. Burn some calories before you go eat a big meal. Bloody Mary's and Screwdrivers available for participants 21+ after the run/walk to help get you ready for family time! Water, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided by the Dodge County Salvation Army. Post race snacks will also be available to participants.
The 5k and 2.5k both use the 5k link. You pick your distance!
All race registration proceeds, and any extra donations will be split and donated directly to the Food Shelf in Kasson to help feed individuals and families in Dodge County and to the Dodge County Salvation Army! Neighbors helping neighbors! Come out and support your community and meet some new friends along the way!
Costumes are DEFINITELY ENCOURAGED! After the race while we're enjoying beverages, we will have a Costume Contest (the winner gets a special prize) as well as some drawings for fun prizes!
Race t-shirts will be given to participants who register by November 10, 2025, at NOON! Shirt sizes range from Youth Medium to Adult XXXL. If you are not registered by November 10, 2025, at NOON you will NOT be guaranteed a t-shirt. Be sure to sign up ASAP!
