Join the celebration at the 4th Annual Uptown Social Walk/Run 5K - Pride Color Run Edition on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in the vibrant Michigan City, LaPorte. This exciting event invites participants to explore the beautiful Uptown Arts District and Washington Park while promoting health, happiness, and individuality. The Pride Color Run is perfect for the whole family, with a fun atmosphere that encourages everyone to put their best foot forward.
Race day kicks off with packet pick-up starting at 4:30 PM, and online registration will remain open until 6 PM. Runners can look forward to a colorful experience, refreshing snacks, and a chance to unwind in the adult-only courtyard beer garden. Participants will receive custom finishers' certificates, live results, and awards for the top male and female finishers across various age categories. Not only is this a fantastic day for fitness and fun, but a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Indiana Youth Group, supporting safer spaces for LGBTQ+ youth. The Pride Color Run is a unique event that celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality. Experience a race unlike any other and put your best foot forward!
Afterwards, participants can grab a free healthy snack, cool off at our indoor cooling station and adults 21+ can immerse themselves in our courtyard beer garden and/or our indoor private lounge. Run eat drink!
Race day packet pick up starts at 4:30PM. Online registration will remain open until 6PM. All registration will be online, no paper entries. If you wish to register day of please do so at home or on your personal device prior to arriving at the race site.

CLOSEDRoute: The start/end line will be located on the corner of 9th and Franklin (Next to the Oriental Pearl). Racers will turn left on Pine and use the designated bike lanes as their course. Capt. Loniewski, with the help of Michigan City PD and EMA volunteers, will be posting signage to block off the parking spaces going north down Pine Street to ensure ample room for the racers. Participants will continue down Pine Street, cross the bridge and turn right onto Lakeshore. They will cross over to Washington Park and follow Fedder down to Krueger Ave. They will turn right onto Krueger Ave and then make another right onto Lakeshore Drive. They will follow the sidewalk all the way back to where they originally entered, cross over to the other side of Lakeshore and then follow the same route back. This route has been approved by the BOW and Park Department.
