Organiser's Description
The next $5 5K is set for Thursday, June 5 at 6 pm! Junes beneficiary is the Blessing Box Flowood. The Blessing Box is part of the non-profit organization Friends of the Flowood Library and collects donations of non perishable foods and personal hygiene items for those in need. They have a cabinet just inside the main doors of the Flowood Library, where the items are stored and available to anyone during the librarys open hours. They offer an Amazon wish list where items can be purchased online and shipped or anyone can put items directly in the cabinet. Theyre also gearing up for a back pack giveaway in June!
For those of you new to the event, grab $5 and your friends and come walk or run a no pressure 5K (3.1 miles)! ALL PROCEEDS will go straight to the Blessing Box Flowood! If you dont want to do the whole 5K, you can turn around and head back at any point. You can even just come for support and dont have to walk a step!
You can register ahead of time (with a few processing fees) but, as always, walk up signup at the event is available!
