Get ready for an exciting community event at the 8th Annual Colonel 5k with SPA Color Pop Run, taking place from April 28 to May 10, 2025, in Thibodaux, Lafourche! This vibrant race is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels, providing an ideal opportunity to set a Personal Record (PR) on a fast, flat course designed by Nicholls Track & Field and Cross Country. Participants will experience a scenic tour of the campus and recreation path, cheered on by the Colonel Track & Field and Cross Country teams.
This year, the Colonel 5k will also feature a colorful twist with free entry for all Nicholls State University students and fun color powder stations to enjoy during the race. The event will kick off at 8:00 AM, with race day registration available for just $35. Don't miss the chance to compete for prizes, including awards for the top male and female finishers, as well as age group medals. The perfect place to set a Personal Record (PR)! The Colonel 5k course and event is designed for all levels of runners and walkers to reach a personal best. The course was designed by Nicholls Track & Field and Cross Country to take the community on a tour of campus and the recreation path where they run fast intervals. We hope you enjoy being cheered on by Colonel Track & Field and Cross Country while cruising this fast, flat course to a new PR!
This year we are partnering again with SPA to offer free entry for all Nicholls State University Students and some color pop* to our run! *SPA will have several colored powder stations that will "pop" throughout the race
Prize packages will be awarded to top Male & Female overall finishers and top Male & Female masters finishers. Male and Female age group winners will be recognized with medals. Nonbinary awards will be made based on online entries by 4/28 or will be made after the race & mailed if there are entries/finishers in that category. Race Day Registration is available for $35, but race t-shirts are not guaranteed after 4/28. Nicholls Student participants will be included in results for prizes/age group award winners.
All Kids 1k participants will receive a medal for being a Hope Lodge Champion!
