This 7TH Annual run/walk, in memory of our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend to many ; Lauren, who lost her life to the opioid epidemic in Dec 2017. She was a beautiful, charismatic, caring young woman. Had a flair for art and creativity, And loved humankind beyond measure...

This year I do this in honor of two of my dear friends who lost their children this past year. Let us not forget those who have passed from this disease of addiction.

Since so many have lost loved ones to this epidemic, join us in helping to raise awareness, to end the stigma, the shame, and to provide hope for those who suffer from any form of addiction &/or mental illness.

We encourage those who are in recovery ,to join us as well.

With the support of all , we can provide hope, encourage healthy coping mechanisms, and help others overcome , Not only the grief for those who have suffered a loss, but the demons of this disease for those that silently suffer. Please come in solidarity and help raise awareness, by SPREADING THE LAURENLOVE and let it be known that THERE IS HOPE.

Through the generosity of you, and numerous business in the community , the following donations have been made: $10,000.00 for a permanently established scholarship at Greenwoods Scholarship Foundation (it missed print in the brochure for this year), $1,500.00 to The McCall Foundation(which has been used to hand out free Narcan at the overdose awareness vigils), $500.00 to the First responders mental health fund at Greenwoods Counseling and Referrals, $500 to The Winchester Volunteer Fire Dept.(who have graciously volunteered their services each year), $950.00 to the general fund at Greenwoods Counseling and Referrals, 3 $1,000 scholarships at The Gilbert School (to be continued as long as funds allow), $1,000.00 to Gilbert Schools 2023 project graduation, and with the help of George Noujaim, from Noujaim's Bistro, we fed the residents at the local homeless shelter every Monday from Jan -April 2023.

This race is in the beautiful, picturesque, rolling hills of Winchester. Beginning and ending at a favorite park of Lauren's .

It is a 3.1 mile course that begins with a short, steep hill, then downhill, flats, and through the slightly rolling, picturesque roads of Winchester. It ends on a dirt road with a steep hill at the end , leveling out to the finish ...... hope to see you there!
