Join us for the 9th Annual PTSD Awareness 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 5, 2027, in beautiful Peoria, Maricopa! This uplifting event is dedicated to raising awareness and support for those affected by posttraumatic stress. Whether you choose to run or walk, you’ll be part of an inspiring community effort to honor those who have battled PTSD. The race will take place at Copper Hills Church, located at 27035 N Black Rock Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85383, and participants will have the chance to compete in various age categories, including a newly added category for ages 0-19!
As you gear up for the event, look forward to exciting pre-race challenges designed to keep you motivated. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, a limited edition finisher challenge coin, and a goody bag filled with surprises. Enjoy refreshments on course and after the race, including water and coffee provided by Well Coffee Co. Don’t miss your chance to win awards for the top male and female finishers! This will be our second year with the running chair. Check out the First Responder PTS Foundation [https://firstresponderpts.org] website for more information. Help us in our efforts to overcome posttraumatic stress by supporting and participating in this event. Show your support by honoring those that have lost the battle to PTSD, those who are currently battling and those who have survived the battle. Through PERSEVERANCE, TENACITY, SUPPORT and DETERMINATION we can overcome PTSD. Proceeds from this event will go to the First Responder PTS Foundation [https://firstresponderpts.org](501c3) to provide ancillary services to mental health treatment and education for first responders related to PTSD, stress and trauma.
