Kick off your Independence Day festivities with an exciting 5K run (3.1 miles) through the charming streets of Alameda, starting at 8:30 AM. This race benefits the Midway Shelter for Women and Children, making it a meaningful way to celebrate while staying active.
Participants will gather at 1420 Park Street in front of Laurens Closet, where the course runs along the scenic parade route and concludes just past the judging booth at Haight and Webster. Enjoy a safe, traffic-free experience while cheering spectators add to the excitement! After crossing the finish line, stick around for a lively post-race expo featuring hydration options, delicious snacks, and refreshing beer from Faction Brewery. All runners will receive a custom finisher medal and a T-shirt, so don’t miss out on this unforgettable day of community, charity, and celebration!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR NEXT YEARS PARADE 5K RUN!
Join us for a 5K run (3.1 mile) and walk through beautiful Alameda starting at 9:00AM, just before the historic 4th of July Parade. This run benefits the Midway Shelter for Women and Children. We are working closely with the City of Alameda on both the Parade and run so that we can bring a safe and fun experience for both runners and spectators.
The race starts at 1420 Park Street in front of Laurens Closet and follows the Alameda parade route ending at Haight and Webster. The scenic course is completely closed to traffic as you run past spectators waiting for the parade to start. Your run will finish just past the parade judging booth. This year we are going to have access to Haight st (current location of the Tues/Sat farmers market). Stick around and enjoy post race water, Gatorade hydration, plenty of snacks and beer donated from Faction Brewery
We currently do not have a way back to the run start. Please plan accordingly. If something changes we will update our race pages

* Packet Pick up - Laurens Closet 1420 Park st: 11:00am - 5:00pm 7/1 thru 7 /3 (Tuesday - Thursday)
* Packet Pick up - Race Start 1420 Park st: 7:30am - 8:30am 7/4/25
* Race start: 8:30am ** New Time
* Parade start: 10:00am
Our post run expo with music will be the best place to watch the Parade as it passes down Webster.
ALL runners will receive a custom finisher medal and T-shirt while supplies last
