Starting at 8:00 a.m. EST, runners and walkers of all ages will have the chance to challenge themselves while supporting a vital cause.
With an affordable pre-registration fee of just $20 (until July 1), participants will receive a custom race t-shirt, with awards given based on distance covered rather than speed. Special awards will be presented for overall and age group categories, ensuring everyone has a chance to shine. Additionally, children aged 12 and under can join for free! Don't miss this opportunity to honor loved ones affected by Alzheimer's disease with personalized Forget-Me-Not posters available for a small donation. ON THE BEAUTIFUL OUT-AND-BACK COURSE AT RENFRO VALLEY, YOULL HAVE 30 MINUTES TO COVER AS MUCH GROUND AS POSSIBLE. IN THIS EXPERIMENTAL EVENT, WE WANT TO KNOW: HOW FAR CAN YOU GO AND STILL GET BACK IN TIME? YOULL WANT TO BRING A STOPWATCH FOR THIS ONE. OVERALL AND AGE GROUP AWARDS GIVEN FOR DISTANCE, NOT TIME.
Proceeds benefit the Alzheimers Association whose mission is to eliminate Alzheimers disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
In addition, you may honor or remember your loved ones with a personalized Forget-Me-Not poster to be displayed during the Rockcastle Run/Walk for Alzheimers.
