Join us on Sunday, November 3, 2024, for the American Gold Star Mothers of IRC, Inc. Annual Walk-A-Thon for Military Suicide Awareness, taking place in the beautiful Vero Beach, Indian River area. This year, the event will be held virtually to accommodate the community's recovery from Hurricane Milton, but participants can still enjoy a scenic 2.2-mile walk around Vero's Riverside Park, including the serene Veteran's Memorial Island Sanctuary.
As we gather on the Sunday before Veterans Day, we invite veterans, families, and friends to come together to raise awareness of this important cause. Learn about the various programs, discounts, and resources available for veterans and their families. Don't forget to snap a picture of your walking team—your moments could be featured on our social media pages and website! The first 250 walkers who register or sponsor will receive a special event T-shirt, which can be picked up at the American Legion Post 39 on November 1 or 2 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Let’s unite to honor our heroes and bring light to military suicide awareness!

This event is now virtual due to the impact of Hurricane Milton on our community. Annual 2.2 mile walk around Vero's Riverside Park, including Veteran's Memorial Island Sanctuary. Event is held the Sunday before Veterans Day in November. Veterans, families and friends are encouraged to participate to raise awareness of this tragic circumstance and learn about programs, discounts, businesses and organizations are available for Veterans and their families.
