Join us for the 12th Annual Anchors Aweigh 5K on Saturday, March 23, 2024, in the picturesque North East, Cecil! This exciting event celebrates National Reading Month with a unique twist—participants are encouraged to bring a book to exchange and can even join in on the fun by dressing as their favorite literary character in our optional Literary Costume Contest. The race kicks off at 10:00 am at the Chesapeake Isle Pavilion, where you'll enjoy a scenic route featuring stunning views of the Elk River and Chesapeake Bay, all within the charming Chesapeake Isle Community.
For just $25 if you register by February 29, or $30 after, you’ll receive a race t-shirt and delicious post-race snacks. Virtual racers can also participate for $30, which includes packet shipping. With a professionally timed course, this event promises a fantastic experience for runners of all levels. Don't miss out on a day filled with fitness, fun, and a love for literature!

Join us on Saturday, March 23 2024 for our 12th Annual Anchors Aweigh 5K! This year, we celebrate National Reading Month with an optional book exchange (bring a book/take a book) and an optional "Literary Costume Contest" - dress as your favorite Literary Character.
RACE INFORMATION:
10:00 am start time
Meet at Chesapeake Isle Pavilion for packet pickup. (point your GPS to 127 Cliffview Dr., North East, MD).
$25.00 per person, (includes race t-shirt and post race snacks) until Feb. 29. $30.00 if you register March 1 or later.
Virtual racers are $30.00 regardless of registration date. Virtual race fees include packet shipping/delivery.
Course Details - beautiful, scenic view of the Elk River and Chesapeake Bay. Course is entirely within the Chesapeake Isle Community with eclectic homes and wooded lots. The entire course is paved.
This race will be professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing.
