If time permits, you’ll also have the opportunity to discover the serene beauty of San Elijo Lagoon on your own. CHECK OUT THIS UNIQUE HIKE WITH NBPL LIBERTY! THE TRAIL IS THROUGH A SLOT CANYON THAT IS DEFINITELY PICTURE WORTHY. THE HIKE IS FAIRLY SHORT (1.5MI OUT & BACK) AND CONSISTS OF SOME LADDERS THROUGHOUT THE TRAIL. VIEWS OF SOLANA BEACH AND SAN ELIJO LAGOON CAN BE SEEN FROM THE LOOKOUT OF THE TRAIL. IF TIME ALLOWS, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO EXPLORE THE SAN ELIJO LAGOON ON THEIR OWN.
