Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Appleseeds Summer Running Program, taking place from June 9th to July 30th, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Allen! This exciting 8-week program is designed for kids entering grades K through 12, providing a supportive and fun environment to foster a love for running. Whether your child is a beginner or looking to compete, the Appleseeds program offers two tailored sessions each practice: a laid-back, game-based curriculum for elementary-aged kids (10 and under) and a more structured, training-focused program for middle and high schoolers (11+).
Participants will enjoy twice-weekly practices at Shoaff Park, where they can engage in a mix of education, running, and games while developing essential skills like teamwork and sportsmanship. The program also features an exciting race schedule, including the Friday Night Spikes Track Meet on June 20th, where kids can race distances from 100m to 3,000m, a Road Race at Pufferbelly on July 19th with 1-mile, 5k, and 10k options, and a Cross Country Race at Dekalb High School on July 24th with a

The Appleseeds Summer Running Program is a welcoming environment for elementary, middle school, and high school aged kids going into grades K through 12 to engage in the sport of running. Whether it be recreational or competitive, we hope to spark an interest in running that will last a lifetime.
The Summer Running Club is an 8-week program designed to provide the groundwork for physical fitness as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. Our practices are a mixture of education, running, and games.
Appleseeds is available for elementary, middle school, and high school aged kids. We will have two sessions available at each practice. The first session is geared towards elementary aged kids (10 and under) and will be a more laid-back, game-based curriculum. The second session is a more structured, training-based program aimed at the middle and high school age groups (11+). The age breakdowns are just a guideline, you are welcome to pick the session that makes the most sense for your child. Appleseeds Youth Running Club practices take place at Shoaff Park, located at: 6401 ST JOE RD, FORT WAYNE, IN 46835. We meet by the Conklin Pavilion each Monday and Wednesday beginning June 9th.
