ARR Thanksgiving Day Classic

Begin your Thanksgiving celebration with our annual Thanksgiving Day Classic races starting and ending at the PEORIA SPORTS COMPLEX. This event features three distances: 10 MILE, 5K, AND 1 MILE FUN RUN. With 3 different distances, there is something for everyone in your family to enjoy! Custom FINISHER MEDALS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS IN ALL RACES.



CHARITY SUPPORT
A portion of the proceeds from the race will be donated to the Peoria Diamond Club that provide grants to many local charities including Special Olympics Arizona. You can find out more here. To date Arizona Road Racers has donated over $65,000 to these charity efforts. We will also be collecting unwrapped toys for the Peoria Toy drive. These can be dropped off race day morning or at packet pickup at the various locations noted below.



RACE T-SHIRTS
This race will feature a long-sleeve technical shirt that is included in adult registrations for the 5k and 10 miler and all 1 mile fun run participants. For the Youth entries, shirts are available for $15. Register early to ensure your size is available. Note that the women's shirts run small.



***PLEASE NOTE - THERE WILL BE A 9:40 AM CUT-OFF FOR THE SAFETY OF PARTICIPANTS AND COURSE WORKERS, WHICH EQUATES TO A 13 MINUTE/MILE PACE FOR THE 10 MILE RACE. FINISHERS AFTER THIS TIME WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR AN AGE GROUP AWARD PIE.***



RACE REGISTRATION will close on Race Day November 28th at 6:59 am and can only be done on-line through RUNSIGNUP. There will be NO PAPER REGISTRATIONS ON RACE DAY.



START TIMES:

10 MILE: 7:30 a.m. (10 Mile course map)
5K: 8:15 a.m. (5K course map)
1 MILE FUN RUN: 8:25 a.m. (1 Mile Fun Run map)



AWARDS: Pies will be awarded to the top three winners of each age group for the 5K and 10 mile races. For the 5k awards are 10 & under, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. The 10 mile awards are 17 and under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. The 5K awards ceremony will start at approximately 8:45. 10 mile awards will be given out at the timing table, upon verification of the final results. Finishers medals for all participants. All pies remaining at the end of the awards ceremony will be distributed to participants who stayed for the entire awards ceremony and did not win a pie.

Strollers and baby-joggers ARE allowed but must start at the back of the pack for everyone's safety.
