Organiser's Description
We are excited to officially announce course enhancements are coming for the 13th Annual Asheville Marathon & Half!The Asheville Marathon & Half races take participants on a running adventure through the best parts of this iconic community. Both courses begin in the heart of Downtown Asheville at Pack Square Park. Runners will traverse city streets and then head north through the historic Montford neighborhood. After a generous descent into the River Arts District, the remainder of both courses follows the banks of the French Broad River through parks and greenways.The greenway is scenic and flat, and we'll have planned entertainment along the way to keep you revved up (think live music, cheer zones and festive water stations.) Shuttles to and from the DoubleTree Hotel (Biltmore Village) are free for all race participants. The Asheville Marathon & Half is a USATF Sanctioned and Certified event and the marathon is a Boston qualifying event.City of Asheville Permit Pending
