AWESOME 80S SUMMER SOLSTICE BEACH RUN

DESCRIPTION:
Join us for the Awesome 80s Summer Solstice Beach Run presented by Moe Moon's! This unique race features the beauty of Myrtle Beach and takes advantage of the beginning of summer and the longest day of sunlight! Participants will begin on the sand at Plyler Park and head north for approx 1/2 mile and then return. Once your race is complete, join us at Plyer Park for music, food, and fun! Race participants will receive a hotdog, chips, and soda/water compliments of Moe Moon's! Bring your beach towel, dress up in your favorite 80s costume, and let's have a picnic together! This is a perfect event for your family to kickstart the summer season by enjoying the beauty of Myrtle Beach at sunset and get active at the same time! This is an un-timed event and no overall or age group awards will be given. A timing clock will be posted at the finish. All participants dressed in 80s attire will be entered into a costume raffle prize drawing! No animals or strollers allowed on race course.



NON-PROFIT PARTNER:

* The Grand Strand Running Club is an organization dedicated to the development of running as a vital activity for the betterment of its members health and well-being and to promote the sport of running in the Grand Strand.
* Look for club members during the race!



RACE INFO:

* Race will begin and end on the sand regardless of the tide
* Begin on the beach adjacent to Plyler Park and head north
* Return to finish line on the beach
* Course monitors will be along the course to provide direction
* Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification
* Baby joggers, baby strollers, skate boards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification



PACKET PICKUP:

* Thursday, June 19 from 4:30-6:00pm at Native Sons (1519 Executive Avenue, MB)
* Friday, June 20 from 6:15-7:15pm at Plyler Park (1100 N Ocean Blvd, MB)



RACE SWAG:

* Participant Bib
* Participant Shirt (while supplies last)
* Participant Medal (custom designed and Made in the USA)



REGISTRATION:

* Registration is only available online
* Registration closes Friday, June 20 @6:00pm



PARKING:

* Metered parking available adjacent to Ocean Blvd.
* Lanier Paid Parking garage on 9th Avenue N/Hwy 17 Business



RESTROOMS:

* Public restrooms are across the street from Plyler Park/Skywheel
