Join us for the Baby Steps 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in beautiful Kalamazoo, Michigan! This uplifting event celebrates Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, bringing together families and friends to honor those we've lost while raising awareness for this important cause. Participants can choose to run a two-loop course of 3.1 miles or walk a one-loop course of 2 miles, making it an inclusive event for all ages and abilities.
The day kicks off with bib pick-up and on-site registration at 8:30 AM, followed by the race start at 10:00 AM. After the race, we will hold a heartfelt Ceremony of Remembrance at 11:30 AM. Early bird registration is available until August 31, and families can enjoy a special pricing option for up to 2 adults and 4 children for just $60. All participants will receive a commemorative shirt and post-race refreshments to celebrate their achievements. Proceeds from the event will benefit local organizations dedicated to supporting families affected by pregnancy and infant loss. This race is in honor of PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS AWARENESS DAY (which is October 15, though we're running/walking in September when the weather is hopefully nicer for being outdoors!). Miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss are sad realities for many families in the United States and around the world. Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Star Legacy Foundation [https://starlegacyfoundation.org/chapter/west-michigan/], Amos' Anchors [https://amosanchors.org/], and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep [https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/].
