Join us for the inspiring Baby Steps 5k Run/Walk in Kalamazoo on Saturday, September 26, 2026, as we come together to honor Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. This heartfelt event raises awareness about the challenges many families face, such as miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss. Participants can choose to walk a scenic 2-mile loop or challenge themselves with a 3.1-mile run, making it a perfect event for families and individuals of all fitness levels.
The day kicks off with bib pick-up and on-site registration at 8:30 AM, followed by the race beginning at 10:00 AM. After the run/walk, don’t miss the Ceremony of Remembrance at 11:15 AM, where we will celebrate and honor those lost too soon. Early bird registration is available until August 31, with family pricing options for up to two adults and four children for just $60. All registrants will receive a race shirt and enjoy complimentary post-race snacks and water. This race is in honor of PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS AWARENESS DAY (which is October 15, though we're running/walking in September when the weather is hopefully nicer for being outdoors!). Miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss are sad realities for many families in the United States and around the world. Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Star Legacy Foundation [https://starlegacyfoundation.org/chapter/west-michigan/], Amos' Anchors [https://amosanchors.org/], and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, and The TEARS Foundation.
