Join the Simon Kenton Pathfinders for a fun, friendly _Back the Path _trail day on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
This is a donation based event to raise awareness of the Simon Kenton Trail in Logan County, OH. This community trail provides a great place to run, walk or bike ride beginning at Carter Avenue in Bellefontaine and allowing you to utilize the trail all the way to Cincinnati if you would wish. While this is not a formal, organized event, anyone is welcome to come join for a walk, run or ride of the length of your choice. Riders are asked to leave between 8:00-9:30a, while runners and walkers will leave between 9:30-10:30a. You choose your distance based on using the trail out and back. This is an informal event therefore NO support will be planned and you will be using the trail as you would any other time. Donations will be accepted through this site or day of the event. All proceeds from donations will directly benefit trail amenities with the first priority being a shelter house, repair station at Carter Avenue in Bellefontaine.
Again, there is no fee to participate. Donations will be accepted with all proceeds being utilized to build a shelter house at the Carter Avenue trailhead. Any additional funds will be used for future trail amenities or trail development. Amenities and increased usage of the trail could benefit development and grant funding for future development. As this is not a formal, organized event, you will be using the path as you would any other day. There will be no guarantee of additional trail services. We do ask that you complete the provided donor participation form for trail use reports.
