With four well-placed aid stations and clearly marked mile markers, participants can stay energized and focused throughout the race. Please note that the road will be open to traffic, so runners should maintain caution and run single file or on the shoulder when encountering vehicles. The 47th Annual Basalt Half Marathon & Relay will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024.
After a ΒΌ mile on a dirt road, the racers will descend approximately 1,000 feet in elevation, along the Frying Pan Road (paved) and finish at Basalt Middle School. There will be four aid stations along the way and each mile is clearly marked. CAUTION: This road will be open to traffic, racers should run single file or on the shoulder when they encounter oncoming vehicles. No cutting tangents is allowed and runners will be instructed to stay on the left facing traffic the entire course.
