This newly updated 5K Run through the Zoo is a Baton Rouge favorite! It features a professionally managed and timed 5K Run that begins and ends in the zoo but also goes through renovated sections of Greenwood Park. This event includes a half-mile Kids Fun Run. All entrants receive an official event t-shirt, race bib with timing chip, and a participant medal. Trophies are awarded to winners in various age groups! The Zoo Run averages 600-800 participants plus their guests. All proceeds from this event benefit conservation and community education programs of the Baton Rouge Zoo.
Please note that in order to guarantee a race t-shirt on race day, participants must register NO LATER than October 27th. Registrants after this date are subject to availability and/or will need to pick up their race t-shirt at a later date.
Race registration guarantees admission into the zoo after the race, along with 2 spectators. Additional spectators may receive discounted admission.
