With exciting options for everyone, competitors can choose between the Sprint Triathlon—a 750-meter swim, 10-mile bike ride, and 3-mile run—or the Olympic Triathlon, which comprises a 1500-meter swim, 23-mile bike ride, and 6-mile run. Young athletes will also have their time to shine with youth triathlon distances tailored for ages 7-15, ensuring a fun and inclusive atmosphere for families. Join the vibrant community of athletes in this energizing event that has become a must-do kickoff race for triathletes across the Mid-Atlantic region!

THE BEAR TRIATHLON S A POPULAR EARLY-SEASON RACE SET IN THE SCENIC LUMS POND STATE PARK, OFFERING ATHLETES A FAST, FLAT, AND BEGINNER-FRIENDLY COURSE. FEATURING SPRINT, OLYMPIC AND YOUTH DISTANCE OPTIONS, THE EVENT DELIVERS AN INCLUSIVE AND ENERGIZING RACE-DAY ATMOSPHERE FOR BOTH NEWCOMERS AND SEASONED TRIATHLETES.
