The Town of Little Elm is thrilled to bring back the beloved Big Easy in Little Elm for its 12th year on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This exciting event will take place in Little Elm, Denton, and promises an unforgettable evening filled with Cajun flavors, exhilarating activities, and lively entertainment.
Join us for a Mardi Gras-themed 5K and 1K Fun Run that invites participants of all ages to lace up their running shoes and celebrate in style! The race kicks off at 5:00 PM, followed by awards at 6:15 PM. Every runner will receive a t-shirt, and the first 1,000 registrants will earn a coveted finishers' medal. Not only will you enjoy the thrill of the race, but you can also indulge in a delicious crawfish boil, savor live music by the SPAZMATICS, and partake in fun contests like the King Cake Eating contest. AWARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED OUT AFTER THE EVENT.

Race is rain or shine!
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to modify or cancel a race in the event of severe weather. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be taken to ensure the athletes' safety.
In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the event course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants. If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the organizer and local authorities.
We always strive to produce a full and safe multisport event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans. A considerable amount goes into planning a multisport event, and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather, and race directors are no exception. Our goal is always to produce a full event as scheduled and to modify plans only due to safety concerns, including those caused by weather conditions.
