_Ridge Runners Racing_, in partnership with Big Rex Fireworks, proudly presents BIG REX'S BOTTLE ROCKET 5K AND LITTLE REXS KIDS FUN RUN (.76 MILE). This event will take place on Saturday July 4, 2026 in cooperation with the city of Dry Ridge, Kentucky.
Little Rexs Kids Fun Run (.76 mile) will start at 8:30 AM followed by Big Rexs Bottle Rocket 5K at 9:00 AM. Both races will start at the City Building and finish inside Piddle Park (check out the Course Maps section for more details).
We hope you will plan to stay afterward at Piddle Park to help us celebrate 250 years of independence in our beloved nation!

Little Rex's Kids Fun Run

The Little Rexs Kids Fun Run is a .76 mile event for kids 10 years old and younger. The START is at 8:30 AM at the intersection of Taft Highway and Race Street adjacent to the Dry Ridge City Building. The race continues down Taft Highway then turns right onto Main Street (Dixie Hwy) to a right turn onto School Street, circles around onto Walnut Street, turns left back onto Main Street (Dixie Hwy) then turns down the alley just past Grant County Drugs and finishes down the ramp onto the outfield in Piddle Park. A post-race celebration will continue place after the race inside Piddle Park. -

Big Rexs Bottle Rocket 5K is a 3.1mike road course beginning at the intersection of Taft Highway and Race Street adjacent to the Dry Ridge City Building. Runners follow Taft Highway then turn right heading south on Dixie Highway (US 25) and continue to the turnaround at Grant County Middle School. Runners head back north on Dixie Highway (US 25), circle through School Street and Walmut Street, then turn left down the alley just past Grant County Drugs and down the ramp to the FINISH on the outfield of Piddle Park. A post-race celebration will continue afterward inside Piddle Park.
