Despite what the title says, this is not a race. It's a chance to hop on your bike and enjoy a relaxing ride along the trails and pathways of Downtown Columbia, Wilde Lake, and Harper's Choice. Start at Color Burst Park in Downtown Columbia, roll through Wilde Lake, explore Harper's Choice, and then wind back to Color Burst Park. This just over six mile course is perfect for the family or novice cyclists as well as those of you with more miles under your wheels.

Join us as we celebrate our Spring 2024 BikeAround Downtown Columbia weekend with a Block Party on Saturday, June 1st in the Merriweather District from 9-12. You can ride the course to or from the Block Party, but it will be open and marked from Saturday the 1st at 9:00 AM until Sunday the 2nd at 6:00 PM.

At the Block Party, The Downtown Columbia Partnership, the Howard County Office of Transportation, Bike HoCo, and more will be on hand to help you make cycling a bigger part of your transportation, fitness, and recreation routine. Register in advance for and check-in on site to get your BikeAround shirt.

Timing: There is no group start time for BikeAround. The official timing for the event is 9:00 AM on Saturday June 1st to 6:00 PM on Sunday the 2nd. Please start as early or late as you like. And feel free to ride the course more than once.

The Course: The course starts and ends in Color Burst Park. Thanks to the Columbia Associations Open Space team, the path will be marked so you should not need to refer to the turn-by-turn directions.
