Get ready for an exhilarating day of fitness and fun at the Black Squirrel Triathlon, happening on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in the beautiful Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie! Kick off the race with a thrilling swim in a clockwise course that takes you straight out from Lake Manawa Beach and back. Once you're out of the water, transition smoothly onto the bike course, which features two complete loops around the picturesque lake. Finally, lace up your running shoes for an exciting run that incorporates paved trails and nearby streets, ensuring a scenic experience from start to finish.

Every participant will earn a finisher medal, celebrating their achievement, while awards will be presented to the top three overall males and females aged 15 and above, as well as the top three individuals in each USA Triathlon age group. Relay teams can also compete for their own top three awards, along with special accolades for SwimRun/Aquathon and Aquabike categories.
