Join us for the 2nd Annual Bob Hendricks Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, in the charming town of Bedminster, Somerset! This uplifting event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or even a virtual participant. The USATF certified course offers a flat and scenic route connecting River Road Park to the Bedminster Police station, making it perfect for everyone.
Last year, we had an incredible turnout of 334 entries, and this year promises to be even better! Registration opens at 7:30 A.M., with the race kicking off at 9:00 A.M. Participants can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere, complete with free race day and finisher photos, finisher medals, and T-shirts while supplies last. In honor of Bob Hendricks, a beloved father, husband, and athlete, this event not only celebrates his legacy but also raises funds for Project Purple, aiming to combat pancreatic cancer. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this meaningful and fun-filled day while supporting a great cause!

PLEASE JOIN US BY REGISTERING FOR THE 2ND ANNUAL BOB HENDRICKS MEMORIAL 5K RUN/WALK! LAST YEAR WE HAD 334 ENTRIES-- RUNNERS, WALKERS, STROLLERS, VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS, A GREAT RACE FOR ALL!
COURSE AND EVENT DETAILS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Join us on our USATF certified course and sanctioned event on clearly marked paved paths connecting River Road Park to the Bedminster Police station! Flat as can be, with one pedestrian bridge over the highway! This 5k is perfect for runners of all levels as well as walkers. Bob Hendricks Memorial 5k T-shirts available in-person racers until September 4th or while supplies last!
Virtual option also available!
Parking is available along the first set of fields. Race registration, start, and finish are near the dog park.

IN HONOR OF BOB HENDRICKS
Bob Hendricks was the absolute best husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. He was a 2x Ironman, an Ultra marathon runner and triathlete. Bob was as humble and generous as them come and will be immensely missed, always. With absolutely no preexisting health conditions, Bob was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2025 and passed away in March 2025, only 4 weeks after diagnosis.
This race is looking to honor Bob's memory by doing what he loved to do most -- running (or walking) and also raising funds to donate to Project Purple (projectpurple.org). These funds will support critical research and patient aid, assisting in identifying effective treatments for a wider range of people. Currently, the five-year survival rate is only 13 percent, and there are no widely available early screening options. This effort also supports Project Purples mission of creating a world without pancreatic cancer.
