This exciting event will take place at Berea Community Park and Trail in Madison, offering a scenic route along paved trails that is perfect for both seasoned runners and casual walkers. Participants can choose to take part in the 5K run/walk or the 1-mile walk, with virtual options available for those who prefer to join from afar.
This vibrant community gathering will not only feature commemorative race t-shirts (while supplies last) and free race photos, but also lots of fun activities including a costume contest with prizes for the most creative outfit and a finish line dance contest where you can show off your best moves! There will be awards for the top 5 male and female finishers, and a prize for the largest social team, making it a perfect event for friends and families to come together. Plus, all proceeds will benefit Spotlight Acting School, a wonderful organization dedicated to providing children aged 4 to 18 with opportunities to explore the arts. Our race benefits SPOTLIGHT ACTING SCHOOL.
SPOTLIGHT ACTING SCHOOL is a theatre school for children from ages 4 to 18. Our purpose is to provide a creative environment for children who want to learn about performing on stage and to foster a life-long appreciation for the arts. The classes are designed not only to expose children to the various aspects of the theatre but also to teach them how to be comfortable in front of an audience which is a valuable skill for a lifetime. Spotlight Acting School has a standing tradition and goal to turn no student away regardless of the ability to pay tuition. In addition Spotlight Acting School is dedicated to the inclusion of children with various physical and mental disabilities to share in the opportunity to participate in the performing arts. All children are taught to work together and support each other in producing each performance.
PACKET PICKUP --- Our packet pickup will be on race day (Sunday, May 5th) from 8:00-9:00am at the Berea Community Park. There is no advanced day packet pickup for this race.

1 Mile Fun Walk

An untimed 1 mile walk with no awards presented. Cost is a low $10 and registrants can add a commemorative T-shirt for a $10 add on. Otherwise there is no shirt for those participating in the 1 mile. -

If you can't join us in person consider participating as a virtual runner/walker. For a $30 donation to the Spotlight Acting School you can run/walk your own "Break A Leg 5K" in your hometown, on your schedule and we'll get you a commemorative race shirt. Race Volunteer
Incl. Unisex Sized T-Shirt

We need 6-8 volunteers to work a race day shift from 7:30-10:30am and help with packet pickup/check-in, food/drink, water stops, course marshals and race clean-up. All volunteers who work a full race shift earn a commemorative race T-shirt.
