Organiser's Description
Brace yourselves for an adventure at the Burke Creek Barn Burner Trail Race! The CATs are thrilled to unleash this new race as part of a way to keep the trail community together during the winter months. We know winter running isn't always easy, but that's what makes it fun, right? You'll get to run through some amazing scenery, and yeah, it might be a bit chilly, but that just means you'll warm up faster! Don't worry if you're new to trail running - this race is for everyone. Old pros, first-timers, and everyone in between are welcome. We're all about having a good time out there. So what do you say? Ready to join us for some winter trail action? It'll be a blast, we promise. Plus, you'll have some great stories to tell afterward. Come on, lace up those running shoes and let's hit the trails together!

5K Trail Race

The 2025 course map, elevation profile, and .gpx file will be available on the CATs website. The course will feature ~260 ft of ascending/descending and be made up of 90% wooded single/double track trails and 10% open cross country trails/gravel roads. It will be a loop-style course with very little overlap. There will be a fully stocked aid station at the start/finish line and one fully stocked aid station on course with water/electrolytes and food. Aid station locations are shown on the course map. All registrants (before 12/9/24) will receive a commemorative buff for the inaugural Burke Creek Barn Burner. Pictures will be shared once finalized. Prizes will be given out to the top three overall male, female, and age group winners. -
