Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Camp Sunshine Run for the Sun on Wednesday, August 6, 2025! This vibrant evening event will take place at Kollen Park in Holland, Ottawa, right next to the stunning Lake Macatawa. Participants can choose between a thrilling 5k race starting at 6 PM and a fun-filled 1 Mile Fun Run kicking off at 6:10 PM. Since its inception in 2009, the Run for the Sun has brought together campers, counselors, families, friends, and sponsors to raise awareness and support for Camp Sunshine. Join in the excitement and be part of this wonderful community celebration that promotes joy, health, and togetherness!
Organiser's Description
On Wednesday, August 6 the Run for the Sun 5k will return to a weeknight EVENING event, but in a NEW location! We'll be starting and ending at Kollen Park, beside the beautiful Lake Macatawa.
There will be both 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run options.
The 5k Race will start at 6pm and the 1 Mile Fun Run at 6:10pm.
Since 2009, Run for the Sun has been an opportunity for campers, counselors, donors, families, friends, and sponsors to join together in raising awareness and support for Camp Sunshine.
