Participants of all ages are invited to run, jog, or stroll around the picturesque Kingstowne area and its scenic lake, making it a perfect family outing to kickstart your holiday celebrations.
In addition to the excitement of the race, we encourage participants to bring a canned food item to support the local community. With various registration options available, including discounts for military members and youth, there’s a category for everyone. Plus, all entrants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt, and awards will be given to the top finishers in multiple categories, including special prizes for runners with dogs and strollers. Please bring a CANned food item and join us for the 5th annual CAN THE BIRD 5K TURKEY TROT, ON THANKSGIVING DAY, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27, beginning at 8:00 am. The race will begin and end in the Walmart parking lot, 5885 Kingstowne Boulevard, Alexandria, VA 22315.
All ages can enjoy a run, jog or stroll around Kingstowne and its scenic Lake.
