Event summary
Join us for the RTC Open Water Swim (OWS) and Pizza Social on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the scenic Midlothian area of Chesterfield! This exciting event marks the season finale for our open water swimming activities, promising a fantastic day filled with camaraderie and celebration.
Participants will have the chance to take part in a refreshing swim while enjoying the great outdoors. After the swim, indulge in delicious pizza and connect with fellow club members and our new sponsor, Lucky Road. We will also take a moment to honor our top three Open Water Swim Volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort throughout the season. Remember to bring your swim safety buoy and bright swim cap, and don't forget to sign in for safety. It's a perfect way to wrap up the swimming season with fun, food, and friends!

_** PLEASE REMEMBER TO SELECT "COMPLETE REGISTRATION" IN ORDER TO SUBMIT YOUR REGISTRATION. YOU WILL RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL, IF YOU DON'T, PLEASE RESUBMIT. WE NEED TO HAVE AN ACCURATE HEAD COUNT FOR OUR WATER SAFETY CREW. THANKS! **_
1. Registration is for all ACTIVE MEMBERS ONLY. If you have not renewed your membership, please go to https://www.richmondtriclub.com/join-or-renew Memberships will be verified.
2. Every swimmer is required to sign the waiver included at the end of this registration.
3. Every swimmer needs to SIGN-IN TO THE LOG BOOK and list emergency contact persons name and phone number.
4. There will be a safety briefing held before swimmers start.
5. SWIM SAFETY BUOYS ARE REQUIRED BY ALL SWIMMERS. They can be purchased online at Amazon. We have a limited number of Swim Safety Buoys that you can borrow and are first come first served. _NO BUOY = NO SWIM_
6. BRIGHT SWIM CAPS must be worn by all swimmers. We will have a limited number available in case you forget to bring one.
7. After the swimmer returns, they must SIGN OUT OF THE LOG BOOK. The Race Directors will call the emergency contact if the swimmer does not log themselves out.

* We recommend getting there early so that you have time to sign the waiver, get your swim buoy set up, swim cap, etc. *
** We need 4 Volunteer Kayakers and 2 SUP's -- must be at least 18 years of age. All will be provided with PFD's (personal flotation devices). Must be comfortable having someone hold on to the kayak/SUP. RTC membership not required but encouraged. Waiver form completion required.

Trailer Driver-James River HS Lot

We need an experienced volunteer driver with a vehicle that can pull the Clubs trailer from James River HS to the Parks ramp and back less than a mile away (starting at 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm approx.). Someone from the Club will meet the driver at the back of the HS parking lot and will help hook them up (*2 ball hitch required) and will follow to the kayak/SUP unloading area.
