Join us for the exciting Cape Charles LOVE Run on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the charming town of Cape Charles, Northampton! This family-friendly event invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in timed races featuring 5K, 10K, and 1-mile options, all set against the stunning backdrop of Historic Downtown Cape Charles and the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.
Race day kicks off with staggered start times: the 1 Mile at 9:00 AM, the 10K at 9:15 AM, and the 5K at 9:30 AM. Registration includes a stylish t-shirt, a finisher medal, and access to a lively post-run party complete with music, snacks, and kids' activities. Don’t miss out on the colorful fun in the color zone, where participants can be playfully showered with bright, environmentally safe colors! Plus, kids can join the free Kids Dash following the adult races. We’re also proud to host our third annual Wheelchair Accessible Race, ensuring everyone can join the excitement. Get some miles in at this family-friendly run/walk! Timed events: 5K, 10K or 1 mile options that will take you through Historic Downtown Cape Charles, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
Start times will be STAGGERED for the 1 Mile (9:00 AM), 10K (9:15 AM) and 5K (9:30 AM). All events require registration and include a t-shirt, timed event, post-run-party with music, kids' activities, snacks, and a finisher medal (4th in a series of 4).
Participants can opt to participate in the color zone and be sprayed with bright, fun, harmless, and environmentally safe colors. This color zone will be available for all events: 10k, 5k, and 1 mile.
A free Kids Dash will be organized on Bay Avenue at the conclusion of the other events, so round up those kiddos and bring them along!
