Get ready for a vibrant day of fun and fitness at the Cape Charles LOVE Run on Saturday, April 25, 2026! This family-friendly event invites participants of all ages to join in on a memorable run or walk through the historic downtown of Cape Charles, all while enjoying stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay. Choose from exciting race distances including a 5K, 10K, or a 1-mile option, with staggered start times for each: the 10K kicks off at 9:00 A.M., followed by the 5K at 9:15 A.M., and the 1-mile fun run at 9:25 A.M.
All registered participants will receive a stylish t-shirt, a finisher medal, and access to a lively post-run celebration featuring live music, delicious snacks, and engaging activities for kids. For an extra splash of color, runners and walkers can take part in the fun color zone, where they’ll be playfully sprayed with safe, environmentally-friendly colors. Don't forget to bring the little ones for the Free Kids Dash right in front of Strawberry Plaza after the main events! Family-friendly run/walk! Timed events: 5K, 10K or 1 mile options that will take you through historic downtown Cape Charles overlooking the Chesapeake Bay.
Note: start time will be STAGGERED for the 5K (9:15 A.M.), 10K (9:00 A.M.) and 1 mile(9:25 A.M.). All events require registration and include a t-shirt, timed event, post run after party with live music, kids activities, snacks and a finisher medal (3rd in a series of 4).
Runners and walkers can opt to participate in the color portion and be sprayed with bright, fun, harmless, and environmentally safe colors. This color zone will be available for all events: 10k, 5k and 1 mile.
Free Kids Dash will be organized in front of Strawberry Plaza at the conclusion of other events so round up those kiddos and bring them along!
