Capt Hiram's River Challenge is an annual Sprint Triathlon hosted by Capt Hiram's Resort with the purpose of raising awareness to the perils that face the Indian River Lagoon and to showcase the beautiful City of Sebastian.

    Swim: The swim will start exactly at 7:30am. Swim course takes place in the Indian River Lagoon off of Capt Hiram's property. We will have lifeguards and safety personnel on site. Swim Waves will be announced 24-48 hours before the race. Bike: Bikers will depart from Capt Hiram's parking lot and head South on Indian River Drive. Bikers will continue South on US1 and U-turn at Barber Street. Bikers then head North on US1 to the North end of Indian River Drive and head South back to Capt Hiram's. We will have a safety biker riding with the pack to make sure there are no incidents on the route. We will also have volunteers on site at the Barber Street turnaround point directing competitors. Run: The entire run takes place on Indian River Drive. Runners will hug the median of the direction they are running. We will have two water stations set up on the run route and volunteers stationed at the turnaround point. Packet pickup will be Saturday 11/19/22 8am-6pm in the Ramp Lounge and Sunday 11/20/22 6am-7:20am in the Adventure Center at Capt Hiram's. You must bring a valid ID. Racers must pick up their own packets. Your packets will contain your race numbers, which will allow you to check in. Transition area opens at 6am. Racers are not permitted in the transition area before 6am. Please note spectators are not permitted in the transition area at any time. The bike racks are assigned by participant number. You will be checked in at the beginning of transition and given your timing bracelet. Be sure to bring your numbers to transition. PLEASE NOTE: ALL BIKERS MUST HAVE THERE OWN BIKE AND A HELMET.
