This engaging event is designed for kids aged 2 to 14 of all abilities, offering a range of age-appropriate distances including 50 & 75-yard dashes, 1/4-mile, 1/2-mile, and 1-mile runs. Each Sunday, young runners can challenge themselves with the option to run longer distances or participate in a specially created alternate 1/4-mile race, perfect for newcomers to the sport.
The Cardio Kidz program not only emphasizes physical fitness but also focuses on building social-emotional skills in a supportive environment. Participants will be encouraged to set personal goals, track their weekly progress, and celebrate their achievements together. With a registration fee of just $35, each child will receive a racing bib, a stylish Cardio Kidz Fall/Winter beanie, a goal tracker sheet, a weekly progress report, and a finisher medal. Cardio Kidz is BACK AT PINE PARK IN HOFFMAN ESTATES FOR OUR 2ND FALL RUNNING SERIES! Join us for a three (3) WEEK RUNNING SERIES FOR KIDS AGES 2-14 OF ALL ABILITIES. Each race takes place once a week on Sunday and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75-yard dashes, 1/4-mile, 1/2-mile and 1-mile run. Kids can register to run UP in distance for a greater challenge. An ALTERNATE 1/4-MILE race is available and a great option for kids new to running. Designed for 2nd-8th graders who may not quite be ready to run their suggested grade distance And THAT'S OK! We hope they will give it a try and will encourage them every step of the way.
In addition to the physical benefits of running, the program aims to BUILD SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SKILLS.
