Get ready to lace up your sneakers for the exhilarating "CHASE THE SHADOW! FREE FUN RUN" taking place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in the vibrant city of Fort Wayne, Allen! This unique and untimed fun run/walk/roll invites participants of all fitness levels to embark on a thrilling 5K route along the scenic Fort Wayne Trails Network. With just 88 spots available, you'll want to secure your registration early!
The excitement kicks off at 1:00 PM as "The Shadow" launches, followed by participants setting off at 1:05 PM. Remember, the goal is simple: finish the course before the shadow! While there won't be police presence along the route, safety is key, so please adhere to traffic laws at road crossings. Celebrate your achievement and compete for fun trophies awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the first boy and girl under 13. So, don your best ninja suit, stylish tuxedo t-shirt, or classic black attire—this is the one time we encourage everyone to dress in black! Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit as you chase the shadow!

HOW DOES IS WORK?
THE RULES ARE PRETTY SIMPLE. JUST FINISH THE 5K ROUTE BEFORE THE SHADOW.
PARTICIPANTS WILL FOLLOW A BICYCLE LEAD ON A ROUTE THAT FOLLOWS THE FORT WAYNE TRAILS NETWORK.
THE ROUTE WILL BE CLEARLY AND MARKED, BUT WE WONT HAVE POLICE PRESENCE SO BE SURE TO FOLLOW TRAFFIC LAWS AT ROAD CROSSINGS!

Chase the Shadow will start and finish in West Swinney Park. Participants will follow a bicycle lead through the park and onto the sidewalks of Historic West Central Fort Wayne and back to West Swinney Park
