Organiser's Description
Join the Putnam County Fraternal Order of Police for our annual Cherries and Berries Run. This year we will be hosting the Fun Run to start National Police Week, which runs from May 12-17, 2025. This event will be geared toward honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and died while protecting and serving. At the time of creating this event, 485 officers, and 22 K-9 units have died in the line of duty in Indiana.
This run will have multiple color stations where powdered color paint will cover the participants. The color powder is biodegradable and washable. The route is fully paved and accessible by all abilities. This is not a timed event and is for fun and to support a good cause. Funds raised will be put back into the community by events such as Shop with a Cop, Santa Drop, Christmas at the Courthouse, and more.
If you would like to donate to Concerns of Police Survivors, there will be a link for additional donation. This will be any amount on top of the registration total. Here is additional information on C.O.P.S:
Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) Each year, between 140 and 160 officers die in the line of duty and their families and co-workers are left to cope. C.O.P.S. provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered lives. There is no membership fee to join C.O.P.S., for the price paid is already too high.
