Get ready for a day of fun and community spirit at the 15th Annual Chili-Heart 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk, taking place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Clair River Elementary School in St. Clair, Michigan. This exciting event kicks off with registration from 8:00 to 8:50 AM, followed by the race starting at 9:00 AM. Runners can participate for just $30, while walkers can join in for only $25. Whether you're sprinting the 5K or enjoying a leisurely stroll, this event promises to be a fantastic experience for all.
In addition to the race, don’t miss the mouth-watering Chili Cook-Off happening from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Additionally, the East China Educational Foundation is proud to add a CHILI COOK-OFF from 9:30am-11:00am, as part of the event.
* CHILI-HEART 5K RUN / 2-MILE WALK: Runners ($30) or Walkers ($25) are welcome as REGISTRATION is NOW OPEN! The event will all take pace at St. Clair River Elementary School _(formerly St. Clair Middle School)_ on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The address is 4335 Yankee Road, St. Clair MI 48079. Registration & Packet Pick-up is from 8:00-8:45am, race starting at 9:00am, awards at ~10:20am. Virtual participants/donors can pick up their t-shirt & participatory medal on Friday, February 6 (3:30-5:00pm at St. Clair River Elementary School. No awards are given to virtual participants/donors, but we appreciate your commitment and registration! * CHILI-HEART CHILI COOK-OFF: Registration is now open to COMPETE IN ($25) or ATTEND ($15) the event. Competitors please just bring your LARGE CROC POT of chili, extension cord for power, a surge protector and serving spoon. Arrive on Saturday, February 7, 2025 at St. Clair River Elementary School between 8:30-9:30am to set-up in the cafeteria for this event. A table, cups for your chili, and utensils will be provided by ECEF. ATTENDEES are encouraged to attend to taste test the chili from 9:30-11:00am. Voting will end at 10:45am and then awards will be given out thereafter. The event officially ends at 11:00am.

OPENS 03 NOVSelecting this option is registering to COMPETE in the Chili Cook-off. This option ALSO allows competitors making chili to attend, taste test and vote in the chili competition. Please bring a LARGE CROC POT (or more) of chili for the competition as well as a serving spoon for your chili. Small taste testing cups, spoons & napkins will be provided by ECEF. Those making chili will be contacted several days in advance for a total of participants expected for chili making amounts. Questions, contact Mike at 810-689-4447. NOTE: Participants and consumers of chili take on all responsibilities for health risks during or after this event. The East China Educational Foundation is not responsible for any sickness due to consumed chili. By registering for this event, all contestants and attendees agree to these statements. -
