Organiser's Description

2 hour and 8 hour runs on a 2 mile looped course. When 30 minutes remains on the clock, you may begin the 1/2 mile out and back. The course has challenging climbs with steps, bridges crossing creek beds, while continuing through wooded areas and surrounding a pond. The course is on mostly single track with a short section on crushed limestone. As this is a timed event, runners can complete as many or as few miles as they wish within the time limits. The runner with the most miles at the end of the allotted time will be named the winner. There will be one fully stocked aid station each loop. As this is a winter event and the trail may be snow covered or icy, it is recommended that runners/walkers bring traction control for their shoes. This is a multi activity event, which also includes ice fishing and orienteering, at the same location as the run. Those interested in participating in the other events must also sign up through the Peoria Park District the day of the event. Eight cabins are available for rent through Camp Wokanda. Prices may vary depending on cabin size. In an effort to preserve our environment, we will be going cupless. Cups will be available for hot food items only. Collapsible silicone cups will be available for purchase on race day.
Distance for each event is open ... race length is estimated for elite runners
Race day registration will be available for $15 more than the final online registration price without a shirt.
