Event summary
Get into the holiday spirit with the Chilly Cheeks Christmas 5k event organized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Pennsylvania. Taking place on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024 in Hermitage, Mercer, this festive event invites participants to run or walk a 5k through Buhl Park while enjoying the beautiful Christmas light display. Walkers are welcome to join in on the fun, with registration starting at 3:15 pm at the Casino building in the park. Don't forget to wear your Christmas themed costume for a chance to win an award! Participants can also opt for a Chilly Cheeks Christmas t-shirt for an additional $10. All finishers will receive homemade wooden Christmas finisher medals, and awards will be given out in 5-year age groups. After the race, indulge in Christmas cookies and other refreshments at the Casino building. Take advantage of the early bird discount until November 1st for this exciting and charitable holiday event.
Organiser's Description
Years ago we had a popular race named Chilly Cheeks Challenge and it was held every January in Buhl Park. We are bringing the race back but with changes and a new theme. With the park filled with Christmas trees and lights come on out and run or walk a 5k thru Buhl Park and enjoy the Christmas light display. Walkers are welcome to walk the 5k !! Enjoy the beauty of the park !! Proceeds goes to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Pennsylvania.
Registration starts at 3:15 pm at the Casino building in the park. Race starts at 4:45 pm sharp. Large amount of parking available
