Participants will tackle the classic duathlon format of Run-Bike-Run, featuring two 2.5-mile runs and a challenging 10.8-mile bike course. With a marked and marshaled route, fast and accurate chip timing, and light refreshments—including the famous banana chocolate chip bread from Jill—this event promises a fantastic day for athletes of all levels.
In addition to the exhilarating race, all athletes who register before February 1st will receive a pair of comfy Chilly Cheeks Sweat Pants, perfect for post-race relaxation. For those who prefer to skip the pants, the new "No Pants for Me" option allows participants to save $10 on their entry fee! Awards will be presented in multiple categories, including Open Category and Fat Tire divisions, ensuring that everyone has a chance to shine. Don’t miss out on this mid-winter competition filled with fun, camaraderie, and a chance to showcase your athletic prowess!

The Chilly Cheeks event is held in the traditional duathlon format of Run-Bike-Run. Both runs will be 2.5 miles and the bike course will be 10.8 miles. As always, we will provide a marked and marshaled course, fast & accurate chip timing, light refreshments including Jill's famous banana chocolate chip bread, and some fun mid-winter competition in the heart of Denver.
All athletes who enter before February 1st will get a pair of Chilly Cheeks Sweat Pants included with their entry! These are perfect for pulling on post-race or for lounging around the house. Those who enter on February 1st or later will have the option to purchase a pair while supplies last.
NEW THIS YEAR: IF SNUGGLY WARM CHILLY CHEEKS SWEATPANTS AREN'T YOUR THING, YOU CAN CHOOSE THE "NO PANTS FOR ME" OPTION AND SAVE $10 ON YOUR ENTRY FEE.
We will be conducting an awards presentation on race day in the following categories:
OPEN CATEGORY: (Any bike is acceptable - no e-bikes): Top-3 male and female finishers in the following divisions: Age 29 & Under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
FAT TIRE: (Bike must have tires 2.0 inches or wider). Awards to the top-3 male and female finishers in the following divisions: Age 29 & Under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
RELAY (one runner and one biker per team): Awards to first place in Male, Female, and Coed categories

This is a Run-Bike-Run event: a 2.5 mile road and trail run followed by a 10.8 mile (paved road) bike ride, and finishing with another 2 mile road and trail run. You may choose from the Open category (any bike is acceptable) or Fat Tire category (mountain bikes with flat-bars and tire width 2.0 inches or wider). There will be age group awards within the Open and Fat Tire categories. No e-Bikes allowed. -
Duathlon Relay
Incl. $6.40 Fee

This is a 2 member relay (one runner and one cyclist). The runner will complete a 2.5 mile road and trail run then hand off the timing chip to the cyclist. The cyclist will complete a 10.8 mile (paved road) bike ride. Upon completion of the bike, the timing chip will be handed off to the runner who will complete another 2 mile road and trail run. Awards will be presented in Male, Female, and Coed categories. No e-Bikes allowed. -
