As this marks the last year of the current race director's organization, participants can expect a festive atmosphere filled with hot chili and sweet treats to enjoy post-race. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs to relax with friends, as picnic table space will be limited.
This year, age group winners will receive special loaves of bread from Breadsith, and unique awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in each distance. Instead of traditional race medals, participants will receive souvenir cups to commemorate their achievement. THE CHILLY CHEEKS RUN WAS AN IDEA TO BRING A SPRINGTIME RACE TO THE SIOUX FALLS AREA. THE FIRST YEAR OF THE EVENT THE NAME PROVED TRUE AND WE ALL HAD CHILLY CHEEKS! ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END. THIS WILL BE THE LAST YEAR THAT THIS RACE WILL BE ORGANIZED AND DIRECTED BY THE CURRENT RACE DIRECTOR.
THIS YEAR WE ARE SERVING HOT CHILI AND SWEET TREATS AS A CELEBRATION OF FITNESS AT THE END. THERE WILL BE LIMITED PICNIC TABLE SPACE BUT RUNNERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING LAWN CHAIRS IF YOU WANT TO HANG OUT POST RACE WITH FRIENDS!
WE WILL NOT BE DOING A HUGE AWARDS CELEBRATION PLEASE CHECK AT THE AWARDS TABLE TO SEE IF YOU PLACED IN YOUR AGE GROUP AND GRAB YOUR AWARD BEFORE YOU LEAVE. ANYBODY THAT DOESN'T GRAB THEIRS WILL HAVE THE GIFT CARD MAILED TO THEIR HOUSE LISTED IN REGISTRATION BUT THE CUSTOM AWARD WILL NOT BE MAILED. THIS YEAR AGAIN WE WILL BE WORKING WITH BREADSMITH AND AGE GROUP WINNERS WILL BE GETTING LOAVES OF BREAD. OVERALL MALE AND FEMALE 10 MILE, 5 MILE AND 5K AND AGE GROUP WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL AWARDS UNIQUE TO JUST THEM. WE DO NOT DO RACE MEDALS FOR EVERYBODY THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY SOUVENIR CUPS.

This is an out and back course starting at Riverdale Park we will head South due to construction on the bike trail. There is a 2.5 hour time limit for the 10 Mile course. Please make sure you can make that time when signing up. -

This is an out and back course starting at Riverdale Park we will head North towards Cherry Rock Park. Runners will cross the bridge and run to the turn around. They will turn around and return back over the bridge and return to Riverdale.
