Get ready for an exciting day of athleticism and fun at the 20th Annual City of Seminole Tri-If-You-Dare, taking place on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the beautiful Seminole Recreation Complex and St. Petersburg College (SPC) Seminole Campus in Pinellas. This unique youth triathlon is designed for beginners and novice athletes, featuring a non-traditional race format where participants start with a run, followed by biking, and conclude with a swim.
With race distances tailored for various age groups, young athletes will compete in a supportive environment that encourages participation and achievement. The schedule includes a 1-mile run, 3-mile bike, and 150-yard swim for 11-12 year-olds, a 0.75-mile run, 2-mile bike, and 100-yard swim for 9-10 year-olds, a 0.5-mile run, 2-mile bike, and 100-yard swim for 7-8 year-olds, and a 0.25-mile run, 1-mile bike, and 25-yard swim for 5-6 year-olds. Every participant will receive a finisher's medal, while the top three male and female athletes

Organiser's Description
The 20th Annual Tri-If-You-Dare is a great multi-sport race for both beginners and novice youth. This youth triathlon is a non-traditional triathlon as we go in reverse order and start the race with the run, followed by bike and finish with the swim. This ensures each child has adequate time to finish each stage of the course prior to the next heat starting. The closed course is held on the Seminole Recreation Complex and the St. Petersburg College (SPC) Seminole Campus. You are able to see you child on all stages of the course.
Tri-If-You-Dare was one of the first youth triathlons in the state. The mission is to expose youth to the multi-sport field in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. Every child will receive a finishers medal as well as the top three male and female in each age division will receive trophies. Join us for another great year of Tri-If-You-Dare!

Tri-If-You-Dare ages/distance/time are listed below:
7:05am 11-12 years old 1 mile run, 3 mile bike, 150 yd swim
7:35am 9-10 years old .75 mile run, 2 mile bike, 100 yd swim
8:05am 7-8 years old .5 mile run, 2 mile bike, 100 yd swim
8:35 5-6 years old .25 mile run, 1 mile bike, 25 yd swim
Awards will be announced immediately following the last race.
Make sure to arrive no later than 6:30 am to check-in, get your child number marking, and place their bike in transition. Parents will not be allowed in bicycle transition area at any time. We will have experienced volunteers on hand to assist the athletes in the transition area.
