Join us for the CKRR Reminiscing 5K on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in the scenic Kokomo, Howard area! Starting at 5:00 P.M., the later race time is designed to accommodate those who work on New Year's Eve, allowing participants to enjoy a brisk race before sunset and take in the beautiful Christmas lights at Highland Park.
Racers and walkers of all ages and abilities are warmly welcomed to participate. Registration opens at 4:00 P.M. at Roger's Pavilion, which will serve as a comfortable spot for participants to gather, warm up, and socialize before the race. Don't forget to register early to secure your spot at the best price, as registration prices increase on November 1st and December 1st. With chip timing in place for accurate results and plenty of volunteers to guide you along the course, the CKRR Reminiscing 5K promises to be a memorable way to ring in the new year. 2025 Update
* NEW YEAR, NEW TIME! - New in 2025, we are going to try shifting the race time back to 5:00 P.M. The later time will hopefully allow more people who work New Years Eve to make the event if they wish. It should also allow runners to finish prior to sunset and walkers to enjoy their final stretch enjoying the Highland Park Christmas lights.
* Roger's Pavilion will be open to race participants starting at 4:00 P.M. and will remain opened for approximately 30 minutes after the final participant finishes. The facility will serve as an area to get in out of the weather, use restrooms, and to socialize.
* Raceday registration will be available from 4:00 P.M. - 4:45 P.M. inside Roger's Pavilion subject to availability. Registration on RunSignup will become unavailable at some point the morning of 12/31. From this point forward, only in-person registration will be available at Roger's Pavilion.
* The race will be utilizing dynamic bib assignment for pre-registrants. If you are pre-registered through RunSignup, please try and arrive early to get your bib, ideally also prior to 4:45 to avoid long lines prior to race start.
* There are several parking lots in close proximity to Roger's Pavilion, so finding a parking spot should not be a problem. We ask that the parking lot attached to Roger's Pavilion not be utilized by Race participants. This is where the start/finish line will be set up and keeping this clear of traffic will hopefully help maintain a safe race for everyone.
* A course description and map are provided on the RunSignup race website. Several volunteers will be out on the course and yard signs will be placed where turns takes place.
* Our hope is to capture photo's of most participants (non-professional), though no promises that everyone will be captured. We will upload photos to the RunSignup website afterwards.
* We requested that several streets be closed by the city of Kokomo for this event. They likely may be closed prior to your arrival, so please be patient in entering the park as these closed streets may appear to hinder entrance to the park. We will work through it and get everyone in.

THIS WILL BE A CHIP TIMED EVENT! Club Kokomo Roadrunners invested in chip timing technology in 2024. Part of the proceeds from this race will help build a more robust timing system and improved race participant experience for future CKRR events.

Note: If you are a Club Kokomo Roadrunner member, the virtual race will not count for points. Per club rules, you must attend the in-person race when available.
